Machine retrofits and upgrades

If a machine that has served you well no longer meets the requirements for continued operation, for whatever reason, we can retrofit it completely or simply upgrade it.

Automation of new machines

For a new machine or system, we select the control components, design and draw the schematics, build the control cabinet, wire the machine, develop the PLC program and user interface, and commission the machine.

Programming

  • S7-1200, S7-1500 and software PLCs …
  • programming to IEC 61131-3 (LAD, SCL, S7-GRAPH, FBD)
  • all types of Siemens operator panels (Basic, Comfort, Mobile …)
  • PC-based SCADA systems with WinCC Advanced, WinCC Professional or WinCC Unified
  • closed-loop control of physical quantities (temperature, pressure, position, speed …)
  • control of all types of motors (frequency converters, servo drives …)

Communication

  • Profinet, Profibus, RS232, Modbus RTU/TCP, IO-Link … and other protocols via protocol converters
  • wireless sensor data acquisition over a locally deployed LoRaWAN network
  • wireless transmission of I/O signals (including safety signals) over distances from a few metres up to 3 km (Siemens, Schildknecht, SMC)
  • video monitoring of machines over wired or wireless links

Identification systems

  • generating, reading and processing barcodes and QR codes with fixed or handheld scanners
  • writing, reading and processing RFID tags in a wide range of designs (labels, tags from Ø 4 mm)

Who we are

We have been working in automation since 2014, building on more than a decade of experience before that. We deliver turnkey solutions or work as subcontractors on larger projects.

Our projects are rarely standard, so depending on each project's needs we team up with companies that provide services we do not offer ourselves.

We take care of the control system design for the machine or plant, electrical drawings, cable sizing, control cabinet layout, the software, and a user interface that is as easy to operate as possible. Partner companies, usually highly specialised, handle cabinet wiring, on-site installation and connection, and any mechanical design, welding and metalwork.
